Terms & Conditions

Aberroof Roofing Specialists
Aberdeen & Aberdeenshire

These Terms & Conditions explain how Aberroof Roofing Specialists operates, how customers can request roofing services, and the general conditions that may apply when work is agreed.

Specific details agreed in an individual quotation or written agreement will also form part of the contract. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

01. About Aberroof

Aberroof Roofing Specialists provides roofing, roof repairs, maintenance, replacement and related services throughout Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

Customers can contact us through our website, by telephone or by email to discuss their roofing requirements.

02. Enquiries and Quotations

Customers may request information or quotations through our website enquiry form, by telephone, email or other agreed communication methods.

Submitting an enquiry does not create a contract or an obligation to proceed with roofing work.

Quotations may be provided verbally, electronically or in writing, depending on the nature of the work. An initial estimate may change following inspection or further assessment.

The agreed scope of work, price and any specific conditions should be confirmed before work begins. Where required by law, contract information will be provided in a durable form.

03. Deposits and Payments

Depending on the size and nature of a project, Aberroof may request a deposit before work begins. Any deposit amount and payment arrangements will be agreed with the customer.

Payment is normally due upon completion of the agreed work unless alternative arrangements have been made.

For larger projects, staged payments may be agreed in advance. Deposits and staged payments will be credited against the total agreed price.

04. Additional or Unforeseen Work

Roofing work can occasionally reveal hidden damage, deterioration or other issues that were not reasonably identifiable during the initial inspection.

Where additional work is required, Aberroof will explain the findings and proposed additional costs before proceeding. Additional chargeable work will require customer agreement. Any urgent protective measures needed to address immediate safety risks or prevent further damage will be discussed wherever reasonably possible.

05. Scheduling and Weather

Roofing work is weather-dependent and may be affected by rain, high winds, unsafe access, material availability or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Where delays occur, Aberroof will aim to keep customers informed and rearrange work as reasonably necessary. Any agreed completion dates and applicable customer rights will be respected.

06. Workmanship and Guarantees

Any additional workmanship guarantee offered by Aberroof will depend on the nature of the work and will be confirmed where applicable.

Certain roofing materials and products may carry separate manufacturer warranties, subject to the manufacturer's terms and conditions.

Manufacturer warranties and any additional guarantees do not replace or reduce the customer's statutory rights.

07. Employees and Subcontractors

Most work is carried out by Aberroof's own team. Depending on project requirements, suitable subcontractors may occasionally be engaged.

Aberroof remains responsible for fulfilling its contractual obligations to the customer where subcontractors are used on its behalf.

08. Cancellations

Customers wishing to cancel agreed work should contact Aberroof as soon as possible.

Where cancellation takes place, any refund, deposit deduction or reasonable costs will be assessed in accordance with the contract and applicable consumer law.

Customers may have statutory cancellation rights, including a 14-day cancellation period for certain contracts agreed at a distance or away from business premises.

Where these rights apply, the required cancellation information will be provided. Special rules may apply where the customer expressly requests work to begin during the cancellation period or requests urgent repairs. Nothing in this section limits statutory cancellation rights.

09. Customer Access

Customers should provide reasonable access to the property and inform Aberroof of known hazards, access restrictions or other relevant circumstances. Particular access arrangements, permissions or site requirements should be discussed before work begins.

10. Complaints and Concerns

If you have a concern about our work or service, please contact Aberroof by telephone or email.

We will review the matter and, where appropriate, arrange an inspection or discuss a suitable resolution.

We may ask customers to provide details or photographs by email to help us investigate. Nothing in this process affects your statutory rights or access to other available remedies.

11. Website Information

Information, photographs and descriptions displayed on this website are provided for general information about Aberroof and its services.

We aim to keep website information accurate and up to date. However, individual roofing requirements, specifications and prices may vary.

12. Privacy

Personal information submitted through our website or provided during enquiries will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy .

13. Applicable Law

These terms are governed by Scots law, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply. Nothing in these terms removes rights or remedies available under applicable law.
